The Mortgage Banker is a sales position responsible for the production of mortgage loans while providing superior client service. The Mortgage Banker is responsible for maintaining personal production, delivering client service, and developing and managing a high-quality pipeline of residential mortgage loan applications.
The Mortgage Banker must develop and execute a personal marketing plan that will build and maintain relationships with outside referral sources (Realtors, builders, etc.) and internal referral sources (FCB retail bankers, etc.) that lead to mortgage loan referrals. This position will be responsible for managing the progression of those loans through the loan process. This position will have overall accountability for ensuring adherence to regulatory and corporate guidelines. In addition, this position will be responsible for ensuring client service standards are met.
High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum of 2 years experience as a mortgage loan originator or in an external banking sales role required.
Must complete federal registration and annual renewal as required by the SAFE Act.
Possess strong personal computer skills including experience in Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Possess excellent organizational skills. Demonstrates good problem solving/analytical skills and the ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
Projects public confidence in presentations and meetings through the use of tact and diplomacy with dealing with customers and prospects in the marketplace. Effective in public settings.
Demonstrates a strong sense of urgency.
Other Preferred Qualifications:
Experienced mortgage sales producer with a proven track record of success in the market.
Ability to plan (set goals and standards), articulate plan to others, and see plan through to completion.
