Position Description :
The Senior Accountant is primarily responsible for managing the allowance for loan and lease losses (ALLL) and the reserve for unfunded commitments which includes, but is not limited to assisting with the calculation of the quarterly and year-end ALLL and related provision expense, performing various monitoring activities over the model, the annual recalibration process, and model validation.  The Senior Accountant is also responsible for development and delivery of monthly and quarterly ALLL reporting and analytical reviews to executive management.  

In addition to the above, the Senior Account is an instrumental member of the Corporate Finance team and provides assistance to the Manager of Corporate Reporting with the following activities:

• Support financial monthly closing process and preparation of  financial reports for executive management;
• Support external reporting function, e.g. SEC reports to include 10-K and 10-Q, and various reports filed with bank regulatory agencies as needed;
• Perform technical research on regulatory, financial accounting and reporting matters;
• Liaison with representatives of external audit firm and regulatory agencies;  
• Research and develop responses and solutions for periodic reporting related issues and questions;
• Perform and assist with other special projects, including Mergers and Acquisitions, as assigned by Manager of Corporate Reporting, Chief Accounting Officer or Chief Financial Officer.Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor degree with 6 years accounting, financial reporting, SEC reporting or bank regulatory experience.

Additional Requirements:
CPA designation
Experience with the ALLL and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) through prior industry experience or audit experience
Interpersonal, project management, presentation, verbal and written communication, problem solving, analytical, and organizational skills
PC skills including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
